This is not a knock on Adam’s talent, which is utterly boundless and he’s exactly the actor who should be doing all this. It’s a knock on a world where women are typecast and men can play villains, Lotharios and nerds in one calendar year and something has to change and I’m trying.
Lena Dunham at #SXSW. Well said, sister.

Wonder what I do all day? Well it’s not usually talking on the radio. Listen here as I share some of Scratch's take on Millennials and the future of work on VoiceAmerica.

The rules for writing are the same for making a mixtape and the same for DJ’ing. Start with a banger, grab attention, kick it up a notch and then level it out, find your groove but keep it interesting. DJ’ing is just storytelling, you need peaks and valleys and texture, you need to have an unexpected twist and the person at the end shouldn’t be the person you thought they were at the beginning. The number one rule is use the time of a total stranger in a way that he or she will not feel that time was wasted.

"A Bird Ballet"

Was reminded of this little beauty again earlier today…

From the filmmaker, Neels Castillon:

We were shooting for a commercial with my DP waiting for an helicopter flying into the sunset, when thousands and thousands of birds came and made this incredible dance in the sky. It was amazing, we just forgot our job and started this little piece of poetry… Enjoy!”

Today

Today I’m flying low and I’m
not saying a word.
I’m letting all the voodoos of ambition sleep.

The world goes on as it must,
the bees in the garden rumbling a little,
the fish leaping, the gnats getting eaten.
And so forth.

But I’m taking the day off.
Quiet as a feather.
I hardly move though really I’m traveling
a terrific distance.

Stillness. One of the doors
into the temple.
