Check out our trailer featuring Boys Like Girls for Zeno, one of my group’s latest projects. It’s a zit zapper that’s like photoshop for your real face…gets rid of blemishes in 24 hours using heat technology, and if you can believe it, it actually works. Stocking stuffer, anyone?

if the answer is yes, you should thank alexbain, because this iTunes playlist is chalk full of them, and i’m loving it.

Folks have asked me for a consolidated list of the songs on my playlist of songs to spice up the holidays.
Here’s 30 of my top 36 recommendations. For some reason, 5 of them are unable to show up on this list, even though they’re available in iTunes. They’re all from The O.C. Merry Chrismukkah mix (opens iTunes), which is a lot better than it sounds. 1 (“Christmas is All Around” by the character Billy Mack from Love Actually) is not available on iTunes, but can view it on YouTube here.

“Tyrone”, Erykah Badu. Because it’s been in my head all. day. And because I’m an artist, and I’m sensitive about my shit…
I saw the Sydney Theatre Company’s production of “A Streetcar Named Desire” at BAM this afternoon. Cate Blanchett was simply stunning. If you are in NYC and have any way of getting your hands on a ticket, do it. It is as good as the NYTimes review says.
“Stillness is the Move”, Dirty Projectors.
Because I can’t stop listening to it…happy Saturday.
In honor of the start of the holiday season in my world (thanks to a stunning tree-trimming — with bonus sushi! — party tonight), please enjoy one of my favorite lesser-known Christmas ditties:
“Gee Whiz, It’s Christmas”, performed by Carla Thomas.
- Fluorescent Half Dome, Dirty Projectors.
Really digging these guys.
“Even during the Arirang Mass Games in North Korea, the ultimate expression of the state ideology, an individual can still sometimes stand out from the crowd and break free of the collective. If only just for a moment.”
