we left a beautiful place behind ten years ago. and it’s still beautiful. if we’d stayed, our options would have their perks but our lives would not be the adventures we’ve made them. it’s good to miss-pack, it means you’ve settled into a new society. life can be diapers to t-shirts to burial suit but perhaps that lacks the trials and discovery. or maybe i’m just sad not to have a high paying job at a tech company and a wife who likes to keep up appearances with the money we make.
